Our Mission

A national educational initiative to build a kid-friendly culture in golf.

The Kid Friendly Golf Foundation is a national educational initiative that helps parents, golf facilities, and golf coaches build a kid-friendly culture in golf — so every child and every family feels welcomed, encouraged, and inspired to play the game for life.

The Problem

Parents aren't just asking, "Where can my kid learn golf?"

They're asking the questions nobody at the facility hears:

  • "Where won't my kid get yelled at?"

  • "Where will my daughter feel comfortable?"

  • "Which course actually welcomes beginners?"

  • "Where are family tees?"

  • "Where are there other kids?"

  • "Where will the staff treat us like guests?"

That problem has never been solved. We're solving it.

The Big Idea

A national educational initiative for a kid-friendly culture in golf.

Restaurants have health inspections. Hotels have stars. Environmental groups certify businesses. Golf has had no shared educational framework for how families are welcomed. That's what we're building — a national educational initiative that helps parents, golf facilities, and golf coaches build a kid-friendly culture in golf.

Facilities and coaches enroll in the Foundation's culture curriculum. Parents get free education, guides, and a national map of the courses and coaches carrying it out. That's how culture changes.

Our Lane

We complement. We don't compete.

Other programs own instruction and competition. We own one thing nobody else does: The standard for how kids are treated.

Standards

One national rubric — the 5 Kid Friendly Standards — that every approved course and coach commits to.

Advocacy

A unified voice for parents and the next generation of golfers at every level of the game.

Research

The annual State of Junior Golf report. Kid Friendly Approved. The Best Cities for Junior Golf.

Discovery

A national directory and map that helps parents find welcoming courses with confidence.

Culture Kits

Tools that help facilities ritualize the small things that make kids feel like rockstars.

A Movement

Working alongside coaches, facilities, governing bodies, and existing junior programs. Not replacing them.

Our Programs

Four campaigns. One mission.

Each of our national campaigns puts the mission into practice on the ground — at real courses, with real families.

Kids Golf Passport™

Flagship

Growth

Give every junior a lifelong record of their journey — courses visited, states played, milestones earned. The Passport turns golf into a shared family adventure.

Tag Along Tee Times™

Family

Every child deserves a round with a parent or grandparent. Tag Along Tee Times reserve a limited number of tee times each month during slower hours so families can enjoy the game together — no pressure, just family time.

The Firsts Program™

Recognition

Kids stay in what they're recognized for. The Firsts Program celebrates every meaningful step — First Swing, First Lesson, First Par, First Birdie, First 9, First 18, First Tournament — with a certificate and moment that says: you belong here.

Kid's Golf Grants™

Community

Community grants that remove cost barriers and help local programs serve more kids, more often.

Help us build the national standard.

Sponsors, donors, foundations, and forward-thinking facilities. This is how golf grows.
